The Project Department of Shanghai Pudong Machinery Complete Equipment Company was established in 1992. Since its foundation, the company has been actively devoted to Shanghai public works and key project construction and Pudong development, setting up the excellent reputation of "Elaborate Organization and First Class Service". By bringing the traditional advantage - equipment complex for a project - of the group into full play, the Project Department has successively taken part in a series of constructions of key municipal engineering projects such as Nanpu Bridge, Xupu Bridge, Metro Line 1 & 2, Confluent Sewage Outlet Pump (Bid 8.0), and so on, making great contributions to "making Shanghai have great changes in three years". In providing accessory equipment for projects of Shanghai Industrial System, the department has successively taken part in providing equipment for key projects such as terylene long fiber of 300,000-ton ethylene, 1 million-ton delayed coking and 65,000-ton woollens modification in Shanghai Petrochemical, setting up an excellent service image.

Faced with the severe market competition, the Project Department makes innovations in its thoughts and actively develops the market. At the same time of doing a good job in providing equipment for domestic market, the Departmetn cooperates with the foreign department to help the customers to import foreign equipment. It has successively imported the key part, control system, of the 600-ton coal unloading machine in coal power plant of Shanghai Petrochemical, and key equipment such as engine, steering oar, deck and machinery for the tug boat of 2500 KW full rotary port in Chenshan Oil Dock of Shanghai Petrochemical. By making use of its advantages of being familiar with the suppliers and the relevant products, the company takes part in the equipment bidding, such as bidding for electrical welder project of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Ship Building CO., LTD, and wins over the bid for part of the electrical welder products.
